Our Journey

The Story of Adassa's Jewelry

From Setbacks to Purpose. From Passion to Empowerment.

01

Origin

When the founder of Adassa’s Jewelry first arrived in Canada, she carried with her over a decade of professional experience. She pursued a second master’s degree, hoping it would open doors to a fulfilling career in project management or business. But after countless job applications and rejections, she found herself at a crossroads, questioning her path and future.

One day, she asked herself a life-changing question: "Why keep waiting for someone to hire me, when I have the ability to create something on my own?" That question lit a fire. She thought, this wasn’t a closed door but a divine redirection. It was the beginning of her journey as an entrepreneur.

02

Heritage

The founder of Adassa’s Jewelry began her journey long before the brand existed. As a young girl, she saved money to acquire her first pieces of gold jewelry pieces she saw as simple adornments. Only later did she realize these pieces were an investment in her future, a quiet foundation that would shape her path.

Today, Adassa sources authentic handmade gold jewelry from artisans in West Africa particularly Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger. Each piece tells a story, connects to heritage, and honors the hands that created it. Adassa’s Jewelry is more than a business; it is a bridge between continents, cultures, and communities, a platform that celebrates African craftsmanship, empowers artisans, and uplifts families.

03

Mission

Adassa’s Jewelry is dedicated to creating and offering authentic, handmade gold jewelry crafted by African artisans. These pieces are not just accessories; they are expressions of identity, tradition, and timeless beauty. Beyond their elegance, every creation carries purpose. Adassa supports artisans and uplifts communities, providing opportunities where talent is abundant but access is limited.

One percent of every purchase supports community initiatives that uplift artisans and their families. Not as charity, but as partnership. As investment in the hands that create beauty and the communities that sustain it.

"
What I once saw as simple jewelry was, in truth, an investment in my future.
